I’m sure it will be better than the last match

  • Joshua Ross

What a relief, Sheamus is the worst wrestler in the world.

    • Jay Sherman

      Yeah overuse of hyperbole!

      • Joshua Ross

         I really don’t think so.

        • Jay Sherman

In a world where Khali still walks, I think you need to rethink your evaluation.

        • Jay Sherman

Oh, and let me guess, Daniel Bryan “carried” him through their series of good matches.

          • Joshua Ross

He can’t get over, he will never draw money, he is the absolute drizzling shit.

At least Khali gets a pop from the audience, and not from a machine.

          • Jay Sherman

You’re kidding yourself, and that’s sad. The whole “drawing money” thing only applies to Cena anyhow, NO ONE ELSE DRAWS MONEY, and it’s a stupid aspect to hold against someone.

          • UMO Executive

He’s a smark you can’t blame him for making statements that reek of bullshit.

I mean if Santino can get over despite being uninteresting to watch how can Sheamus not get over despite you know…being over.

          • Sheamus is over … but not at the level he should be. If he was bumming around the midcard, or feuding with other main eventers that aren’t in the title picture, or challenging for the belt, that would be fine. But as champion, he’s not as over as he should be. He’s just above the Miz in terms of google searches, and behind Orton, AJ, etc. Punk is only behind Cena, the Rock and Brock Lesnar, so he’s holding up his end.

          • PlanBFromOuterSpace

I’m just trying to see if I can make this column any narrower.  The answer is “Yes!”.

          • Joshua Ross

             Yes!

          • Yes!

          • Joshua Ross

I’m certainly not a smark, I hardly ever enjoy wrestling now that kayfabe is dead, is Sheamus over? I think he is just rammed down peoples throats, but oh well.
I’ve never known anyone to have less charisma and mic skills and to still receive an enormous push.
He is so far out of his league it’s scary.

          • Joshua Ross

I’m not kidding myself bro, I just have a different opinion than you do, sorry it made you insecure, that’s pretty sad.
Also I would have thought since WWE has lost $500 million recently the idea of making money was pretty important, but once again I’ll defer to your greater understanding.

Also CM Punk was outselling Cena for ages before they dialed down his push and had him.

So I think Sheamus is undeserving, unequipped and embarrassing, sorry, but you can’t hope to change that, Khali makes sense because he is a huge star in India and they’re trying to make a bigger market there.

          • randomguy1155

to me hes was better as a heel, he didnt have much to turn face with, it was just a casual ‘show up on smackdown now hes face’ kinda turn.

          • randomguy1155

            he*

          • Jay Sherman

I like how you try to make this into something psychological. Now who’s the insecure one?

Not every main eventer is going to sell out arenas. Orton? Batista? Swagger? Bryan? Khali, for which you can try your Indian argument, but you can throw any Indian star on TV and they’ll watch him (which is why Mahal is sadly on our TV). Again, it is the Cena show, everyone else is a supporting actor, so truth be told in this era of wrestling, they could put the belt on Santino and it wouldn’t affect buyrate/gate income. Also, I like how your definition of “ages” for CM Punk equates to TWO MONTHS.

          • Jay Sherman

Sorry, by main eventer, I meant to put world champion.

          • Joshua Ross

Everything you’ve written is correct, everything I’ve written is wrong.

Sorry for wasting your time, please stop writing back to me.

          • UMO Executive

Yeah cept you seem to think you’re opinion is fact which it’s not. And how is WWE try to make a bigger impact in India around a guy who probably doesn’t have much time left in the wrestling business?

          • Joshua Ross

Dude, I no longer give a fuck, find your own answers to these questions, I’m done with this.

  • Tmacman

What happend, did Sheamus fuck up a spot and drop a weight on HHH or something?

  • Booker T wearing a bow tie is my favorite part of all this.

  • Maturedsinner

Thank God. I don’t think I could stand another Seamus/ADR match that ends with a Brogue Kick and a clean pinfall.

Thank God. I don’t think I could stand another Seamus/ADR match that ends with a Brogue Kick and a clean pinfall.

  • Tony

come on, this MUST be a work

    • Or they have half the bookers keep wanting Sheamus vs. ADR, and the other half not wanting it. First it seemed like it was going to happen at Extreme Rules, but they had to deal with the backlash and sudden support for Daniel Bryan. Then it was going to happen the next PPV, but they chickened out and included Orton and Jericho to make it interesting. Then ADR got hurt (in addition to both Jericho and Orton getting suspended, so that Sheamus fought Ziggler). But then ADR was suddenly well enough to show up the next night and compete (albeit a squash on Santino).

Of course, because of this ADR is again made to look like a choke artist, as he’s been chasing Sheamus since Wrestlemania with nothing to show for it. So they have to keep reestablishing that ADR is legit, so they repeatedly bury the IC and US champions.

ADR and Sheamus just seem to be a cursed match up. Of course, a face champion that isn’t as over as a face as you want him to be, and a heel challenger that isn’t getting the heat you want him to is a bad combo. Against other opponents, it might work, but their collective underwhelmingnous is dragging them both down.

      • You can have an E-Cookie, good theory. Even if it is wrong, it was a good read.

  • Uncle Cletus

Looks like appointing Booker as GM is an excuse for WCW booking

  • Samuel Pooley

Well he did steal his car and shit in it, he doesn’t deserve a Summerslam match if he is going to act like that. Oh wait, he’s the good guy? What?

  • Comment

of course its a work, but I like it as a twist for a boring storyline

    • grievousgeorge

      It’s not a boring storyline

      • randomguy1155

        nope, it is.

        • grievousgeorge

          No it’s not

          • Randomguy1155

lol most of the people here think it is, you lose bro.

  • Danlesh

Sheamus is crappy, but he can have very good matches.
My problem with him is that every time he talks he bores me to death. Also all his rivalries are irrelevant to me.

    • taranaich

“Sheamus is crappy, but he can have very good matches.”

      This statement confuses me.

      • Danlesh

like in overall crappy, he has glimps of good things but boring after all.

  • Hitmonchan

You know you can’t book a heel well when the crowd uses the YES! chants and translates them in Spanish whenever he comes out.

    • UMO Executive

That’s really nobody’s fault but the guy’s who come up with the stuff that these fans pick up on and start chanting randomly like the outdated and tired WHAT chants.

  • Liam Barrett

I can’t help but think this is getting overturned somehow on Smackdown. Not that I have any desire to see this match again. And this is coming from someone who LIKES both guys. They just have negative chemistry.

    • 1 2

Best summary I’ve read of it – Bryan/ Sheamus made for a great rivalry, as did his mini-feuds with Henry and Barratt. Whilst I like Del Rio as a wrestler, his character isn’t really working for enough of the crowd to engage them in his matches. Negative chemistry is a good way of putting it.

  • Blah People

I was hoping for a Del Rio win, Del Rio/Rey/Orton/Barratt would be a nifty Fatal 4 Way – I can do without Sheamus for a few months now, similar to how Cena has been kept out of the title. Contrary to people saying the titles are just placed in the middle of the show, I still see title matches as the biggest matches at PPVs – I think the above 4 would be fairly watchable going forward.

Christian/Rey and Sheamus/Orton are fairly interchangable – none of them are good enough to really carry the brand, but as a collective there’s a tolerable balance, I don’t think many people dislike all 4, most people probably like a couple.
