Notes…

Even better than the fan dancing on top of JBL’s limo is that the top of the limo was gimmicked to fall-apart when Undertaker slammed JBL on top of it. That fan must have weighed less than Colin Delaney to have not gone through it, but the idea of Undertaker throwing JBl through a broken roof and a drunk fan is a nice image. Would have been a fitting end to that dire match.

If a Special Olympian had interfered in a Steve Austin match a year later, Austin would have given the guy a stunner.

That Orton in South Africa clip is a head-fuck. OK, so the guy quit his job to attend the event and low-blow Orton with the idea of getting signed by WWE. Then WWE uploaded the handheld video clip onto their own YouTube channel, giving the impression they were going to sign the guy or it was an angle or something. Nothing happened, so I can only assume they uploaded the clip to make fun of the guy.

The fan trying to get at Jerry Lawler (no, I can’t figure out what Lawler’s saying either. Whattya want, it’s an indy clip from 1994) is the infamous Green Lantern Fan. If you don’t know know who that is, don’t worry about it.

As you can see from the clip, the guy Punk hits isn’t the guy pushing him. Ah well.

They cut out the Canadian pushing Eddy off the ladder from all the re-releases of the match. They must drink some shit up there in Canada-Land to make you want to go push Eddy Fucking Guerrero off a ladder.

  • dennett316

That sneaky little prick smacking Punk in the head and letting the big guy take the back-hander….what an asshole.
Out of all the matches to try to run in on, you pick Lex Luger vs The Giant? Damn, why not try Meng or Steiner while you’re at it.

    • Catherine Bouey

Luger couldn’t hurt you, whereas Paul simply wouldn’t try…….unless it was unintentional.

      • dennett316

The 6′ 4″, 275lb, heavily muscled former football player couldn’t hurt you? Really?

        • Catherine Bouey

If Luger wouldn’t fight Bruiser Brody why should anyone be afraid of him?

          • MaffewOfBotchamania

Wait, because Luger wouldn’t fight Brody he’s a soft touch?

            Hey now.

          • Catherine Bouey

Well he was the one who got so scared of Brody potentially snapping he ran out of their cage match.

          • Alex B.

Buddy, there’s a bit of a difference between a random fan and Brody. We all know about the Brody incident, you’re not flexing any knowledge we don’t already know and taking an ever so edgy stance on Luger isn’t exactly stopping the eye roll that is happening here.

          • man

neither is being a woman. you have to be super on top of your wrestling knowledge game. meanwhile every tom, dick and harry with a dick gets to say the stupidest shit with no eye roll. there’s a dude further down asking who the green lantern fan is.

          • Catherine Bouey

And asking who Green Lantern fan is a problem why?

          • Manic

I’m on your side btw. idk if you followed that; certain fans jump all over anyone they perceive to be female making a slight error as if to say “i knew women couldn’t be REAL fans/know anything about wrestling”.Green Lantern fan is a well known wrestling fan, for better or worse, that has been making an ass of himself since the 90s and was the source and inspiration for many jokes. dude proposed to his wife at a show. in the early 90s before it was cool to be ironic.

          • Catherine Bouey

FYI I’m a dude. And all this was spun off me making a crack about Luger’s perceived tough guy status which wasn’t meant to be taken seriously.

          • Catherine Bouey

Didn’t know you can eye roll on the internet without having a webcam in front of you. Plus it’s weird you’re taking this as seriously as you seem to be.

  • RonaldBryan

If you look close, the guy who Punk hit did bump him in the back of the head right before Punk hit him. He was trying to “look cool” putting his sunglasses on for the camera and bops Punk right in the back of the head.

Nice to see Michaels actually not be a dick for once during that period of his career.

    • dennett316

No, the only bump to Punk’s head came from the hand of the dude behind that guy.

  • John Spankenstein

Had no idea about that being GLF. One of my favorites from the video as well. Loved Lawler’s reaction.

  • Dave Barton

Forgot about Undertaker’s brief “Dutch Boy” haircut.

  • dkinpa

Personally i like the dude running into the ring to celebrate with Piper and Piper just kinda brushing it off. I cant just picture him going “WHELL WHADDYA DOIN IN THE RING THER BUDDEH?!” Even almost celebrates with the guy a bit before security gets him, a lot of the boys wouldve just went straight into “beat the piss out of this guy mode”

    • MisterForth

I do too. It made the moment so much better.

  • Codster9

You could definitely make a Volume 3. Forgot about the fan that sneaked up behind Hogan wearing a Sting mask.

    • MaffewOfBotchamania

The one at Halloween Havoc? Fairly certain that was a plant, given that they kept him on camera for about five minutes.

      I’ll check old WON.

      • Codster9

Not that one. The one from Botchamania 41.

  • K.

Classy act for HBK, even for his not-so-classy ’98 self.

  • Gruntt

Punk slapping that fan is about as classic as a movie from the ’50s

  • Fullname J Warrington

Anyone know the story behind that PG-13 Mississippi Riot? Yeah, I did a little googling but still came up with nothing.

I couldn’t really hear what was being said and I also couldn’t tell if it was just one or two guys or the entire crowd that tried to get a few shots in

    • Alex B.

I’d like to know as well. Searching anything involving ‘Mississippi’ and ‘riot’ these days really gets a lot of information. >_>

    • manix

what more of a story do you need? they needled some racist rednecks about a black president and black men knocking up their daughters. presto! in the south all you have to say is “a black man is president” and they’re hot.

    • Mr. Postman

They were the white guys from Nation of Domination (JC Ice and Wolfie D) and they riled up some angry rednecks. Funny thing is JC did a YouShoot – drunk as f*** – and doesn’t seem too fond of black people either. But he hates rednecks more – and for some reason doesn’t consider himself one.

  • MPT

Where’s the Green Lantern fan from? I’m curious

    • mnxi

i was once as innocent as you,

  • tony

based on these videos, Lawler seems to sincerely love watching fans jump into the ring and get beaten up

  • raVen

man that guy around 11:45 is the luckiest dude ever. nobody beats the shit out of fans better than savage but for some reason that guy got off real easy

    • SlayerofBodom

Probably because Savage was a face in that match.

  • Justin Leeper

    – Interesting to see Savage ignore the run-in mark during the match with Booty/Barber/Zodiac. I mean, Savage has been seen in several shots going to town on interlopers. Must have been an edict from up on high in WCW: Don’t attack fans. Let security do its job.
    – Using a chair against angry fans? Really, indie guy? Not a good idea. Either it exposes the business when they no-sell, or they get concussions and sue the shit out of you. No-win situation.
