Botch of the week #2
An LLC based out of New York named “Mocker” registered to trademark “ECW” for wrestling use in March. WWE apparently let the trademark slip, and the registration was assigned to an examiner earlier this week.
Chances of this story being true and the company actually managing to trademark it: As likely as rain in Egypt.
Chances of me laughing so hard I get abs like Emil Sitoci if they somehow DO manage to do it: As likely as rain in England.
Trademarks aren’t like seats at a party, they can’t be taken if they’re not used for ten seconds. WWE *does* use the trademark and product so yeah. Wrestling websites will print ANYTHING.
Honourable Mentions: Hornswoggle, ROH apparently spoiling a title change (it hasn’t happened yet, so I won’t post it here just in case), the number one contenders to the tag team titles NOT wrestling the champions at Money In the Bank.
