Kronik vs. The Undertaker & Kane

Kronik’s WWF stint was amazing. After The Undertaker had spent the entire summer decimating The ECWCW Alliance and selling as much as ROH PPVs, Brian Adams and Bryan Clark show up one SmackDown! and beat him like a drum.

Got to love the definitely-not-handed-out-to-the-crowd-mispelt-sign.

Undi’ is (was) real life friends with Adams hence why Undi’ made his opponents look credible, something he wasn’t known for doing during this period. There’s nothing wrong with getting your friends or family hired in wrestling…just as long as they can actually wrestle. So after one match (against Kai En Tai sadly not on Youtube), Kronik took on the Brothers of Career Destruction (TM Powerslam Magazine) at Unforgiven 2001.

Just…watch it (and listen at 11.28 to hear Undi’s reaction to a botched jawbreaker)

Kronik were both immediately sent to HWA to ”work on their timing”. Clark was apparently offended at being told his ring work was gash and quit instead. Adams realising he had sod-all chance elsewhere went to HWA, which is kind of sad considering he’d been wrestling for decades at that point and hadn’t been watchable since his feud with Randy Savage in ’94. And he still couldn’t deliver a piledriver properly.

Kronik reformed in 2002 to somehow pin Keiji Mutoh and Taiyo Kea for the AJPW unified Tag Team Titles, further proving that in life it’s not who you are, it’s who you know.
