I watched Over The Limit with some friends who stopped watching wrestling in 2003. It was fun explaining who did what on the PPV.
”That’s Randy Orton. He randomly RKOs people.”
”Is he still a bad guy?”
”No, he gets cheered for it.”
”Oh. Who’s that?”
”That’s Jericho.”
”Oh wow, he’s changed a lot! He’s a good guy right?”
”He does bad things but still gets cheered by a lot of people.”
”…OK. What about that guy? You’re cheering him, he must be a good guy, right?”
”That’s Alberto Del Rio and he’s a bad guy. I’m cheering him because he entertains me.”
”…Riiiiight. So, what about the last guy?”
”That’s Sheamus.”
”He’s getting booed…he must be a bad guy!”
”No, he’s getting booed because he’s shite.”
”Oh.”
We stopped trying when Daniel Bryan, the world’s most beloved heel, came out.
