WrestleMemories: Diesel vs. King Mabel

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o0G_fGjggRQ

A simple idea I’ve had for a while now, two wrestlers giving their views about the same match.

Matches like Michaels vs. Hart and Rock vs. Austin have been talked and done to death, so I’m more focused on matches that will (hopefully) never get exhaustive DVD releases. Like Viscera vs. Kevin Nash, where one guy thought it was a good match that he should have won and the other guy hated it.

I’ll make the next one when I find decent enough interviews, probably involving Nash. ”It was a good match” must be carny for ”I don’t remember a fucking thing about it.”

Absolutely down for more of these.

  • Elfking

That was great! I’d love to see loads more of these!

Imagine that match during Vis’s reign as a giant playboy with the anal violation move. Kevin would have loved that spot.

    I really enjoyed this.

nice posting…..for some reason i watch mick foley vs abyss in their metal mayhem match after fake taser spot with the botched 3 count soon after man in crowd holds up botchamania 900 sign idk if thats made its way to a botch video yet funny shit

  • Tito

Great! I always loved seeing the Botchamania sections with commentary over the matches, and having both sides makes it even better.

  • Snake the Jake

Hey, I don’t know how newish this is, but I just saw Shawn Michaels doing an advert for the Total Gym.  If the video has been added, I think it needs a quick hyper link

Big Vis isn’t the worst big man wrestler and has shown (very) brief glimpses of actual talent but man was he not safe in his early career.

  • dennett316

Good and interesting stuff…definitely would enjoy seeing more of these as I don’t watch a lot of shoot interviews.

I used to go to all the Raws and Smackdowns when they came through Pittsburgh, and for some reason, I recall there being two events in a row where we were “treated” to Viscera vs. Rob Conway.  In today’s wrestling landscape, it’s rare to see curtain-jerking feuds last more than an episode of Superstars or two, but these guys apparently kept going through an entire touring cycle.  I want to see a Greatest Rivalries DVD devoted to THAT.  I mean, we already know what Vis thinks about the matches, but it’d be nice to see that Rob Conway is still alive.  “From sometime in 2003 to sometime in 2004 or so, these superstars waged war on each other over the course of several episodes of Velocity…”

I loved the CM Punk CZW one.

  • Callum Carcass

    Please do, this was awesome.

  • Nicklo2k

This is a brilliant idea for a series and I would love to see more of them!

  • RGordon

Love the fact that, when Mabel declares “it was a good match” at about 0:57, someone can be heard coughing trying to suppress laughter in the background

  • Mike P

This is a really good idea, please do several of these.
